NON-PROFITS; WORKING TOGETHER

The Fourniér Center for Empowerment was created to provide both knowledge and a means by which to continually apply this knowledge until it becomes a permanent part of the individual’s fundamental nature. Whether working with individuals or groups, we focus on the ‘person’ first… meaning that everyone in an organization has issues and challenges. By first providing the executive and their senior staff with greater power and support, we ultimately have a greater impact on their organization, general staff, volunteers and clients.

TOP-DOWN

(Process for rolling out and implementing our programs)

Rolling out the Course of Action & Support Network with a non-profit agency:

When an agency is interested in our program, they first apply to the Center for support via our web site.    For an application to this program, please click here.

  • Our board will review all applicants within 30 days of application to determine whether an appropriate fit exists and whether a leader is available for assignment.
  • All agencies selected by the Center will be notified within one week of selection and sent additional information regarding The Center, The Course of Action and the Empowerment Support Network. Arrangements will then be made and coordinated to begin the process.
  • Next, the agencies personnel will be divided into Five separate groups: Course Liaison, Executives/Senior Staff, Staff, Volunteers and Clients.
  • The Course Liaison will be the individual chosen by the non-profit organization to oversee the program internally. This person will be registered as a Gold Member of the Empowerment Support Network, and given a Course of Action guidebook. Their assigned guide will then begin leading them through the Course of Action.
  • Two weeks after the Course Liaison has begun the training, he/she will begin leading members of the Executive/Senior Staff through the program (with the support of his/her guide).
  • Two weeks after the Executive/Senior Staff has begun the training, each of them will form and begin leading groups of their own. Each of their groups will consist of Staff members, and they too will then be given free course curriculum and membership into the Empowerment Support Network.
  • Once the entire staff is involved in the program, those individuals of the staff who are allowed to work with volunteers will then form and lead groups of two to six volunteers each. Ideally, this will be the staff members who have most recently begun the training, as they will not yet have groups of their own to lead. The same process will continue until all volunteers are also involved in the program.
  • Once the volunteers have become involved, those individuals who are allowed to work with clients will then form groups of two to six clients. If possible, this will be the volunteers and staff members who have most recently begun the training. The same process will continue until all clients are involved in the training and membership.
  • The clients will then form and lead groups of their own, and so on, until they are surrounded by an entire community of empowered human beings.
